This is the HUB for information about the history of the New Forest, Hampshire, England during WW2, based on the best selling book The New Forest at War which was first published in 2004. It subsequently became the basis for a DVD Documentary and an ITV /Colonial Pictures series 'Summer of '44' as well as generating substantial interest and support from Historians, Researchers and the general public.

The New Forest Revised and Updated (www.sabrestorm.com) is available now and celebrates the 10th anniversary of the book in recognition of the fact that it is now an established reference source for everyone with an interest, not only in the history of the Forest, but also in the history of Britains Home Front during WW2.

The original book was also used as a reference by the New Forest Remembers Wartime Memories Project under the auspices of the National Park Authority.

This is a unique book which will be of interest to everyone who lives in, works in and visits the New Forest. Dr Julian Lewis MP New Forest East
